Jurassic World, Terminator: Genesis, Fantastic 4, and Planted of the Apes 3 Updates

2015 is going to be a stacked year for sure in movies, and a film nut's wet dream. Not only do you have the Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, Star Wars Episode 7, and Batman vs. Superman; but there's also a long list of smaller movies like Avatar 2, Ted 2, and a Friday the 13th sequel. Can you believe that I just referred to Avatar 2 as a small movie? Here's some updates on other anticipated films.

Jurassic World

It seems like I've been hearing about a sequel/remake of Jurassic Park for years now. My favorite version had the Rock to star, but sadly that fell through. But now we have a release date of June 12th, 2015 with shooting is set to start  June 2nd, 2014. And Chris Pratt is possibly the lead in this movie, which would be great because he's awesome. For me this is one of my most anticipated movies of 2015 because the original Jurassic Park is honestly the first movie I remember watching as a kid. Jurassic Park is a classic that had affect on people, not to mention it was the first movie to showcase CG I in a big way. It's been nearly 20 years since Jurassic Park came out and there are movies that come out today with worse CG I than the original Jurassic Park.

Terminator Genesis

Talk about classic movies! The first Terminator had such an impact on people it caused a whole generation to have a deep mistrust in machines. And the second Terminator is arguably the best action movie ever. There is an awesome sequence in T2 where the Arnold terminator climbs out the window of a moving truck runs across the truck bed and jumps onto the hood of a following semi truck, where then he proceeds to unload his machine gun through the windshield in an attempt to slow down the evil T1000. This whole sequence is a single shot and probably the coolest practical stunt I've seen in a movie. Shooting for the reboot begins April 21st in Louisiana. I'm gonna see this movie and hope it's cool but you can't deny Terminator 3 and 4 were bombs so don't yell at me if I'm a little bit on the fence for this one.

Fantastic 4 Reboot

Let's face it. The last attempt at a Fantastic 4 franchise gave us two pretty crappy movies, so Fox went back to the drawing bored. There isn't a lot known about this reboot aside from a few casting rumors but shooting is confirmed for March 31st in hopes of hitting their 2015 releases date. What can i say? I'm always excited for more superheroes.

Planet of the Apes 3

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes out this summer much to my excitement, but it seems that the studio isn't holding back on plans for a third installment. Fox has announced to release the third installment on July 26th, 2016. This is big news showing that Fox has a lot of confidence not only in the upcoming sequel but in the franchise as a money maker in general.
